There are certain types of Halloween costumes that are universally popular every year. There are also certain costumes that are popular because of an event, movie, TV show, or book that was published or was in theaters between Halloween of the previous year and the Halloween coming up. Let’s start with new and interesting Halloween costumes of 2010.
Any costume that comes from the movie Alice in Wonderland is going to be big this year. The Alice in Wonderland, starring Johnny Depp and Anne Hathaway, that was in theaters this past year is sure to influence sales and rentals of costumes like Alice, the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, the Red Queen and the Queen of Hearts and Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. Shrek, Princess Fiona, Rapunzel, the Donkey and Puss N’ Boots, from the movie Shrek Forever After, are sure to show up on your doorstep come Halloween night.
You’ll be seeing plenty of Dragons and Vikings this Halloween. How to Train Your Dragon is another movie that’s spawning plenty of Halloween costumes this year. Look for Monstrous Nightmare, Terrible Terror, Night Fury, Gronckle and Hideous Zippleback. Vikings will include Fishlegs, Snotlout, Astrid, Hiccup, Stoick and Ruffnut and Tuffnut.
The movie Robin Hood will undoubtedly inspire lots of Robin Hoods, Maid Marions, King Richards and Friar Tucks. Toy Story 3 is going to be great for kid’s costumes. What child wouldn’t enjoy dressing up as Buzz Lightyear or Jessie? There are new characters in this movie that will also be the inspiration for new costumes including Ken Doll, Peas-in-a-Pod and Lots-o’ Huggin’. There are sure to be many people dressed as Michael Jackson, after his unfortunate and untimely death a little more than a year ago.
Then there are costumes that are popular every year. One of the best things about them is that they’re easy to assemble, easily recognizable, and usually not too expensive. They include a witch costume (probably the all time most popular costume), princess costumes, ballerina costumes, pirate costumes, cowboy costumes, superheroes of all sorts, and Ninja costumes. You can find parts of these costumes or the costumes themselves in most stores that carry Halloween costumes.

Many people assume that having children will put an end to their adventure holidays. But there are lots of family activity holidays around in all kinds of destinations. Many choose to go on adventurous Peru holidays and had loads of fun.
It all really depends on the age of your children. Even if your children are not old enough that are still lots of fun walking holidays. If you have older children then you have a lot more options.
Something like white water rafting is a fun day out and can involve the whole family. Obviously this is best done in the summer.

In the winter time cross country skiing and snowboarding can be a good adventure. Most people in Europe and America can make will not live more than a day’s worth of travel from a well known ski resort.
In addition there are numerous holiday makers that build their holidays just for this kind of family. These types of holidays will include all manner of activities such as rock climbing. You will usually get to explore your destination whilst you travel around to partake in various fun sports and games.
Mountain biking is one of those fun activities that can be enjoyed all year round. The ski resorts often make great places for mountain biking in the summer months when all the snow has melted away. You will of course need to wear the appropriate safety gear but will no doubt find this to be an exhilarating experience. Mountain biking can take up a whole day and be a lot of fun for the whole family. With a map in your pocket you can travel all around the mountainside and have a great day.
You can get the most from your holiday by spend sometime having a go at some of the activities before you go. Try out some of the activities before you go to make the most of your holiday.
