My Dad & I had a good laugh at this commercial the other day about this pill that claimed could help smokers quit, the sales pitch was 5 seconds long, the warning about how it could destroy your health, cause suicidal thoughts etc.. was about 5 minutes!
That was the funny thing, the sad thing is how these Pharmaceutical Co.’s are so profitable they can afford these 5 minute commercials to pedal this garbage while folks are struggling to pay for health insurance.
But the really sad thing is how people are so defiant against any efforts in trying to make things right and provide care to those that need it.
Well as long as they can express their misinformed and misguided anger resulting from not acknowledging or an inability to understand why the country is in this horrid condition is all that matters right? These hypocritical fools are the same people that accuse “B. Hussein O.” of being un-American, not doing a thing to help anyone. They completely ignore the facts and reasons as to why the Country is in such bad shape, mocking the President and scapegoating him for these problems, when it’s the failed policies and practices of the past that they adamantly wish to perpetuate, that caused this mess. How much failure is needed for these people to learn from these bad decisions and poor judgment calls?
Want a job?, move to India or China, that’s where W exported them to, and gave large corporations large tax breaks for doing so. Is that American? National Security Hero?, who’s watch did 9/11 happen on and what’s the deal with a fruitless war where years later the words “Mission Accomplished” don’t mean anything? You say President Obama is a some kind of intellectual that doesn’t have the guts, will or strength to be our Commander in Chief?, who just sent 30,000 plus troops to try and finish a war that the last President failed to win? You say he’s all talk?, give one example of a fight or challenge he hasn’t embraced.
You want less Government? Well if the Government continued to be as incompetent and ignorant as it’s been in the past, I wouldn’t blame you! Less Government?, how much more than a failed Auto, Mortgage and Banking Industry do you need to realize what less Government yields? The Auto Industry is decades behind implementing hybrid technology. Why?, because of greed. Why? because people had to have their big fuel hogging SUV’s and so that’s what they were produced. And whom does some of this fuel consumption money end up in the hands of?, terrorists. Vicious cycle wouldn’t you say folks? Your freedoms come at a price. Wake up.
So as we destroy natural resources, fund terrorism, wonder where the jobs are, and vomit hypocritical BS about the economy, be sure to mock and scapegoat the NEW President for trying to fix this mess. Your illogical thoughts and beliefs are pathetic, truly ignorant and cowardly.
I never witnessed such an honest and good willed effort to try to help as many people as possible while trying to get our Country back on track. And you know what else is not free?, fixing the failures of a previous lack of Government.
I think less than half of the people in this country need to wake up, that’s change we could all use!
God Bless America!

Several choices are offered to individuals who cannot make their loan payments. Deferments, payment relief or forbearances might be available. If you, as so many others are, experiencing financial hardships, contact your lender to find out what student loan deferment you qualify for.
Contact your lender to find out if your situation qualifies for a deferment. If you are suffering a hardship like unemployment or if you have started school, you might qualify. Keep in mind that depending on the type of loans you have, you might be responsible for the interest that accrues during the deferment period.
Deferments for those who is active duty or who are called to active duty is offered with lenders. The deferment can also be extended to cover the time of demobilization.
A deferment is offered to any reservist who was enrolled in school and called back to duty during that time. It doesn’t matter if you are a current reservist or retired. The deferment can last up to- months from the end of your active duty or if you go back to school.
In order to know if you qualify for economic hardship deferment for your Direct Loan, Perkins or FFEL loan, get in touch with your lender. According to federal regulations you may qualify for this deferment for up to 3 years.
As with any time you need to apply for assistance, you are going to need to contact your lender. Forbearance can last as long as 3 years. To have your payments temporarily suspended or possibly reduced, apply for forbearance. As with a deferment, the forbearance will only be approved for a certain amount of time. One difference between a deferment and forbearance is that you will still have to pay the interest on your loan. If you can’t get approved for a deferment, apply for the forbearance.
Just a side note for PLUS Loan borrowers. For the most part, the same requirements apply when requesting forbearances or deferments. Since the loan is unsubsidized, interest will accrue during the forbearance or deferment period. You don’t have to pay the interest during this time but it will compound if you do not.
There may be times when changing your payment plans would be more beneficial to you. If you decide to change your current plan with an FFEL loan, you are only going to be able to do this once a year. If you feel that you need to change the payment plan and you have a Direct Loan, as long as the repayment time is longer than your current plan, you can change it as many times as you want.
Looking for ways to pay off student loan? Private student loans consolidation may be the perfect solution for you.
